Items from a private collection on sale at
JGDay4
Jeff Stevens – well-known in the Dylan world for many years
and an ex-Freewheeler – is having a bit of a clear-out and will be doing
his version of a ‘Dylan Car Boot Sale’ on the Day.
Jeff’s been following Dylan since the early days and, as
well as being a prolific writer and speaker on The Man over the years,
he’s also amassed a plethora of memorabilia. Should be worth a browse!
Several traders are also going to be at the Convention - Woodstock Publications, Street
Legal, Sound Advice and Badlands.

Cash’s songs in their respective sets; we’ll have some DVD, some audio –
there’ll even be a Johnny Cash Singalong!!

|
|

|
Peter is an American singer/songwriter and will be performing a selection
of Dylan songs, as well as his own compositions.
He'll also be talking about the Dylan
concerts he attended in the early days, including Newark 1963 - the
first concert given by Dylan after the assassination of JFK, the
Philharmonic Hall 1964 concert (there's a CD Bootleg Series release
date within days of the Convention), and

C.P. Lee confirmed as guest speaker
C.P. Lee - author, musician,
University lecturer and a regular contributor to the
Freewheelin magazine - has been confirmed as a
guest speaker at this year's JGDay Bob Dylan convention being held in
Northampton on March 27.
| |
|
|

C.P. Lee - at home! |
|
CP will
bring his own home-spun brand of Dylan observation to the convention -
and probably some music as well. Never a dull moment with CP and his
weird and whacky world. Well worth experiencing.
The title of C.P. Lee's talk is 'Sniffing A Mighty Wind'; and he'll be taking a look at the
world of folk music before Bob Dylan got his hands on it!
See and hear the REAL people who inspired
'A Mighty Wind' - he'll be showing hilarious but crap videos and playing
hilarious but crap recordings of hilarious but crap songs from the
period! NOT TO BE MISSED.
An hour of laughter from The Merchant of
Mirth himself. |

Steve Gibbons to headline
JGDay4
| |
|
|
 |
|
Steve Gibbons will be headlining the Fourth Annual John Green Day
performing a solo set of songs from Dylan's mega back pages, as well as
songs from his own repertoire. Steve
Gibbons has been fronting bands for over four decades - The Dylan
Project and The Steve Gibbons Band, to name but two - and his solo
performances are legend.
Regardless of venue, whether a club, pub or festival, Steve has the
magic of enthralling an entire audience. The man means business and
should prove a huge hit at JGDay4, as he did at the First John Green
Day back in 2001. |
