Freewheelin' are pleased
to announce details of their Bob Dylan Convention, known as
John Green Day.
The event will be held at the Northampton Moat House Hotel
on Saturday 27th March 2004 – from 10 in the morning ‘til
very late at night.
As well as providing a focus to remember John, it’s also an
opportunity to shake hands with some old faces. The day will also
include some first-rate speakers on Dylan, discussion sessions,
merchandise tables and that. There’ll be Dylan video, as well as
live music from the brilliant young band - Cold Overture.
And to close the event, we’re delighted to be able to welcome back
Steve Gibbons – founder of The Dylan Project and the star
of the show on that very first John Green Day in 2001. The bar
will be open for as long as you want it to be; food is available
throughout the day in the Moat House – or, alternatively, in the
many restaurants and fast food outlets of Northampton Town Centre,
all within easy walking distance of the hotel – which, by the way,
has free and ample car-parking.
Accommodation is available at the Moat House, at a special
rate of £32.00 per person, per night, for bed and full English
breakfast and we’ve reserved a block of rooms, with the hotel, for
the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the John Green Day. It’s on a
‘first come, first served’ basis, so best to book early.
As usual, if you do decide to book accommodation, then you need
to contact the Hotel direct and, again as usual, it’s
important that you keep to the booking procedure to avoid
problems.
Telephone the Hotel direct on 01604 739933 – only between 8am
and 6pm – ask for Nicola or Maxine, quote the reference ‘JOH
2603’ and tell them it is for the John Green Day 4. To be
absolutely safe, you may wish to ask the girls to either e-mail,
or post, a confirmation of booking, back to you.
So that’s the accommodation sorted; now to the event itself.
The entry price for the actual event is £20.00 per person and we
ask you to complete the booking form below; sending it to us,
together with your cheque, as soon as you can. We’ll send the
tickets out to you shortly afterwards. Each ticket will be
numbered and entered into a prize draw for a rare Dylan item (that
you’ve probably got three of already) to be drawn on the day.
